There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to supporting your therapeutic goals. You can expect your therapist to draw on a variety of evidence-based approaches suited to your individual needs, which may include Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Client-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and behavioural approaches using positive reinforcement and strength-based perspectives.
As with any relationship, we all need to feel safe and connected with those we open up with. The therapeutic relationship is central to your counselling journey and to your therapeutic gain.
"Life is a journey, not a destination. It is an honour to be by your side along the way."
— Sylvia Corzato, RP, MACPParenting is one of the most important roles we can embrace in life. Yet there is no reliable handbook to refer to when navigating the ups and downs of the parenting journey. How we parent is unique to our values, beliefs, cultural influences, personal strengths, and the individual needs of our children.
Parent counselling supports you in expanding your "toolbox" with knowledge, guidance, and strategies that align with your own parenting values. Together, we can explore how to move from feeling overwhelmed and burnt out to feeling comfortable, confident, and good in your parenting role.
Support is available individually or in a couple setting.
As a parent myself, I know how important it is to feel confident and comfortable with how you choose to parent. In our sessions, you can expect to feel supported as we explore your challenges and discover new strategies together, without bias or judgment.
Improved parent-child relationship, better communication and understanding, rebuilt trust and connection, greater knowledge of mental health, support for healthy life changes, increased emotional regulation, family members feel valued and respected, reduced anxiety and depression, and increased confidence and self-identity.
"Parenting is a journey, not a destination. It is an honour to be by your side along the way."
— Sylvia Corzato, RP, MACPFamily dynamics are complex, and the challenges one member faces ripple through everyone. Sylvia creates a shared space where all voices are heard and each person is valued.
Whether you are navigating communication breakdowns, rebuilding connection after conflict, supporting a child through difficulty, or adjusting to a significant life change, family therapy helps the whole unit find a path forward together.
Sessions are grounded in evidence-based practice and designed to meet your family where it is, not where it is expected to be.
Improved communication, rebuilt trust, and a stronger sense of connection are at the heart of family counselling. Each session is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to the values and needs of your unique family unit.
